The Indian Nursing Council (INC) on May 21, 2026, notified regarding the Renewal of Suitability of Nursing Educational Institutions for the Academic Year 2026-27.
The following has been stated:
• The INC has reopened the online portal for submission of Renewal of Suitability applications for Nursing Educational Institutions for the academic year 2026–27 under Sections 13 and 14 of the Indian Nursing Council Act, 1947.
• Institutions that failed to submit renewal applications within the original timeline can now apply from May 22, 2026, to June 15, 2026, by paying a penalty of ₹15,000. The application is available through the institute login under “Application for Renewal of Suitability 2026-27 in INC” on the official portal.
• The Council has clarified that the last date of June 15, 2026, will not be extended under any circumstances.
